Student Media Board

Students also may be involved in the media as members of the Student Media Operations Board, which meets monthly to advise officers of the student-run media. Information on how to join any of these media groups may be obtained by dropping by the Student Media Center on the second floor of the Calhoun Annex, 172 Calhoun Street, or by calling (843) 953-5289.

The George Street Observer

The George Street Observer is the student weekly newspaper and the student voice of the College of Charleston. Its staff publishes information on campus events, news, opinions, features and sports. The GSO may be found online at http://www.georgestreetobserver.com/

The Miscellany

The Miscellany is the arts and literary journal of the College of Charleston. Published annually, it includes poetry, prose and artwork by students. Submissions are typically due in December. The Miscellany is published in the spring and is unveiled during a special poetry reading co-sponsored by the English Department.

Cougar Television

For those interested in broadcast media and television production, CTV is for you. Cougar Television produces a regular news and entertainment show that's aired weekly throughout Charleston on Comcast 2 and daily in the residence halls. Experience in television is not required!

CofC Radio

C of C Radio began operations on July 1, 2000. The station produces shows of diverse music and community guests and may be picked up at 90.3 FM on campus and areas near campus. It may be heard online at http://www.cofc.edu/~cofcradio/. No experience necessary. We'll train you!
